54th Annual Grand Ole Tour is being held on 20-22 October, 2016 at the San Angelo, Texas.
This will probably be the last time this event will be held in San Angelo for several years. Take advantage of this chance to learn more about what the surrounding area has to offer. Events and sights will NOT be repeated from previous year’s events.
The weekend will start with a Thursday afternoon social with snacks and refreshments. Friday’s tour will showcase the sheep and goat industry of the area with visits to Barton Club Lambs and El Camino De Las Cabras (goat milk cheese and soap) along with a tour of the Christoval Vineyards and Winery.
Saturday’s tour will highlight some hidden treasures with visits to a couple of antique collections, an old fashioned dinner theater for lunch, and sights of Native American pictographs including a mini Great Race. Saturday’s banquet will include a Halloween Costume contest for those who dare to participate. The host hotel will be The Clarion Hotel, $75.00/night plus tax. Tour registration fee before Oct 7 is $110 per participant, after Oct 7 fee is $125 each. Fee covers Friday and Saturday lunch, Saturday banquet, plus all entrance fees. The hotel includes a full hot breakfast each morning.

79th East Texas Yamboree Car Show is being held on 22nd October, 2016 at the 106 Buffalo Street, Gilmer, Texas.
All classic cars and trucks that enter the car show will also be in our Queen's Parade @ 11:00am. There is no entry fee for the show. Vehicle s will need to start arriving at 8:00am and be in place by 10:30am.
Your vehicle will then have the opportunity to be seen by over 50k people as you make your way through the Parade and back to the Car Show area for the rest of the day. Please come and join in the fun that is the East Texas Yamboree and our Car Show.

$20 entry. Registration 9 - 10:30. Awards at 3 pm. 1st and 2nd in 18 car and truck classes, plus special awards. School fall festival and great food on site.
