This car, like all Morgans, used a simple ladder-frame chassis, sliding pillar front suspension and ash framing for its steel or light alloy bodies.

Up to 1960 its power was generated from the Anglia 100E Ford motors, with 997cc overhead-valve engines being used after. It had a rock-hard drive and a flexing body and boasted a unique thoroughbred appeal.

Bigger 1340cc engines were used in models produced from 1961 - 1963 which produced top speeds to 112 km/h and for the first time front disc brakes were used.

In 1963 the latest Cortina engines were used in 1498cc and GT form, and in 1969 a four-seater version with an unattractive top, was on offer.

The Fiat 1600 twin-cam and Ford Escort 1600 CVH motors were being used along with a five-speed gearbox, from the early 1980's.

To this day, the car continues using the Rover twin-cam engine. They are hand-built slowly in Hereford and Worcester County, and are still hugely popular, with a five year waiting list.
