Perhaps the most collectable Chrysler in the world,
the Ghia L6.4 has all the trademarks of a truely desirable
classic automobile, and is the King of Cool.
To start with, the beautiful design comes from Italy and
the vehicle is hand built.
Add to this the celebrity status
that the car has (having such famous owners as Frank Sinatra),
along with a very small build quantity (only 102 were
built) and you will be adding a lot of zero's to the cheque
in order to obtain one.
In addition to the
26 built, there was a prototype that differed only
in that it had "dual Ghia" on the nose emblem (like the original 50s car)
with the production 26 having a nose emblem with L6.4
and an American and Italian flag on it.
Also, the roof line on the prototype was about 1" lower.
Of the 26, 6 cars had special headlight treatment from
Barris of Hollywood, made for members of the rat pack.
